Infrared structure of gravity
At low energies and large distances gravitational scattering exhibits universal behavior in the form of soft theorems and memory effects that can be traced to an underlying asymptotic symmetry. These so-called infrared triangles get modified by loop effects associated to the long-range nature of gravitational interactions. I will review recent progress in unraveling the rich infrared structure of gravity and its applications to celestial holography which puts forth a holographic principle for spacetimes with flat asymptotics.
