I will discuss supersymmetric non-extremal\u00a0(&#8220;finite-temperature&#8221;) saddle-points of this gravitational index. I\u00a0will show how a class of 5d solutions can be constructed using the\u00a04d-5d lift. These solutions compute the index of black holes and black\u00a0strings in asymptotically flat 5d space, even in the absence of an AdS\u00a0near-horizon region.
